Event Objectives

The primary purpose of the Creative Economy Summit was to bring together a diverse range of stakeholders from across the creative economy to explore the opportunities, challenges and future direction of the sector. The event brought together entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, businesses, academia, policymakers, researchers and industry partners to share perspectives, connect and explore all areas of the Creative Economy.

The event created an opportunity to:

  • Bring together entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, businesses, academia, policymakers, researchers and industry partners
  • Explore key areas, opportunities and challenges across the Creative Economy
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing between different sectors and stakeholders
  • Create connections between industry, academia, research and policy to support the continued development of the creative economy

By bringing together a broad and diverse group of stakeholders, the summit created an opportunity to share ideas, build connections and explore the future of the Creative Economy from a range of perspectives.

Why Dexcom Stadium?

Dexcom Stadium was chosen deliberately for its combination of space, location, quality and the people we could work with. Its large, flexible space could be divided and configured according to the requirements of the Creative Economy Summit, allowing the venue to accommodate the different needs of the event.

Its location was also an important consideration, being close to CREW and Galway city and making it convenient for attendees travelling to the summit. The quality of the venue and the opportunity to work with a supportive and capable team further strengthened its suitability.

The combination of the venue’s flexible space, convenient location, quality and the people we could work with made it a strong fit for the requirements of the Creative Economy Summit.

Planning & Delivery

The planning and delivery process was very positive overall, with the venue and team exceeding expectations throughout. We particularly enjoyed working with the meeting and events team, who were helpful, approachable and easy to work with in the lead-up to the event.

The Connacht Suite was well equipped for the requirements of the summit, with the AV setup working particularly well and all elements coming together effectively. The flexibility and quality of the space also supported the event format and helped create a professional environment for attendees.

Catering was another positive aspect of the event, with the bowl food option proving to be a good fit for the format. Overall, the combination of the venue, AV facilities, catering and the support of the meeting and events team contributed to a smooth and successful event that exceeded expectations.

The Result

The Creative Economy Summit delivered a strong response from attendees, bringing together a diverse group of entrepreneurs, businesses, SMEs, academia, policymakers, researchers and industry partners. Hosting the event at Dexcom Stadium provided a high-quality setting that supported valuable opportunities for connection, knowledge sharing and collaboration, contributing to the overall success of the summit.

The food, facilities, service, AV and staff input exceeded our expectations. We were very happy with our first conference at Dexcom Stadium
