Showoff Sessions Event

Organisation: Showoff
Event: Showoff Sessions Event
Event Type: Meeting
Date: Thursday, 9th of July
Attendance: 50 delegates
Venue Spaces Used: Atlantic Premium Level: Connacht Four

Event Objectives

The primary purpose of the event was threefold. First, to position Showoff as a leading data and AI consultancy in the Connacht market by bringing together a high-calibre group of senior business leaders in an environment that reflected our ambitions. Second, to generate commercial conversations and pipeline through the offer of a free AI & Data Readiness Workshop as a follow-up to attendees. Third, to strengthen our relationship with Salesforce Ireland, who co-hosted the event with us and brought a number of their own enterprise customers into the room.

The event created an opportunity to:

  • Position Showoff as a leading data and AI consultancy in the Connacht market and raise our profile among senior business leaders
  • Generate commercial conversations and pipeline, with a number of positive responses already received to the free AI & Data Readiness Workshop
  • Strengthen our relationship with Salesforce Ireland through collaboration and the involvement of their enterprise customers
  • Create a memorable and engaging experience through Stuart Lancaster's keynote and the high performance panel with Ian Madigan and Richie Hogan

By bringing together a high-calibre group of senior business leaders in an environment that reflected our ambitions, the event exceeded expectations across all three objectives. The keynote and panel created a genuinely memorable evening that resonated well beyond the business content, generating significant engagement in the days since and creating ongoing commercial conversations.

Why Dexcom Stadium?

Dexcom Stadium was chosen deliberately for both its strong thematic fit and its standing within the Connacht business community. With Stuart Lancaster, Head Coach of Connacht Rugby, anchoring the high-performance theme of the evening, the stadium provided a natural and authentic backdrop for conversations around high-performance teams and data-driven leadership.

Hosting the event at the home of Connacht Rugby created a level of coherence and authenticity that a hotel or conference centre simply could not have matched. The venue also carries real gravitas within the Connacht business community, making it a destination that people were genuinely interested in attending and helping us attract the calibre of senior business leaders we were targeting.

The combination of the venue’s strong identity, connection to the high-performance theme and appeal to the local business community made Dexcom Stadium an important part of the event’s overall success.

Planning & Delivery

The planning process with the Dexcom Stadium team was excellent throughout. Kate was our main point of contact and was responsive, practical and easy to work with from start to finish. She understood what we were trying to achieve and helped us work through the logistics efficiently without overcomplicating the process.

The Connacht Four Suite was set up exactly as required, with the layout working well for our format, excellent AV performance throughout and catering on arrival that helped set the right tone for the evening. Having access from 2pm was also a significant advantage, allowing us to complete the setup, run through the programme and brief the team well ahead of guests arriving at 5:30pm. This preparation time made a real difference to how composed and professional the evening felt.

The atmosphere in the room was excellent, with the stadium creating a natural energy that guests responded to. Several attendees commented positively on the venue during and after the event. The Dexcom team were on hand throughout the evening and responded quickly to anything we needed, helping ensure the event ran smoothly from doors opening through to the close of the formal programme.

Event Highlights

Stuart Lancaster's keynote and the high performance panel with Ian Madigan and Richie Hogan were the centrepiece of the evening from a content perspective, but the venue was the frame that made all of it land the way it did.

The Result

The event delivered strong results across commercial, brand and partnership objectives. Follow-up engagement has been positive, with several companies expressing interest in the free AI & Data Readiness Workshop and a number of conversations progressing into active pipeline.

From a brand perspective, the event positioned Showoff as a serious player in the Connacht market, bringing together a high calibre of attendees and creating a memorable experience that generated significant engagement. The event also strengthened our relationship with Salesforce Ireland, creating further commercial momentum with their team, clients and prospects.

Dexcom Stadium gave our event something that no other venue in Galway could — an atmosphere that matched the ambition of the evening.
